Introduction

You can now connect to your QuickFile data from Claude and query your business financials using natural language prompts. The QuickFile Connector is a read-only interface you can enable from the familiar Claude chat environment that will allow Claude to retrieve and analyse different facets of data stored within your QuickFile account including:

• Sales and purchase invoices
• Estimates and recurring invoice schedules
• Client and supplier information
• Bank accounts and transactions
• Financial reports such as profit and loss, balance sheet and detailed ledger entries
• Journals

Getting Started

To connect to QuickFile from Claude, you must first enable the QuickFile Connector. You can enable a connector by going into your Claude settings and browsing the Claude Connector directory from the plugins section.

Once enabled, you will be prompted to authorise your QuickFile account for Claude. When you have connected your account, you can go back to Claude chat and proceed to ask questions about your QuickFile financials.

Example Prompts

To get you started, we’ve put together a few different example prompts you can use to analyse your QuickFile data.

Show me my outstanding customer invoices issued last month.

Identify any supplier invoices that are falling due this week.

Show me any untagged bank transactions and help me to match these up against unpaid purchase or sales invoices.

Assess the financial health of my business for this accounting year vs the last accounting year.

Show me my largest bank deposits received last month.

Give me a prioritised list of unpaid customer invoices I need to chase.

Due to the conversational nature of Claude, quite often insightful follow-up questions will be suggested to help you gain a deeper understanding of your financial position.

Notes on Security

Data accessed by Claude will be used for the sole purpose of answering your questions and will not persist between your chat sessions.

You can revoke access to your QuickFile data from the active Connectors listed in the settings within your Claude account. Authorisation can also be revoked from your QuickFile account in the developer dashboard.
