Download an archive of your documents

From time to time you may wish to download an archive of all your documents in the Document Management area. You can choose a date range, and QuickFile puts the documents in that period into a single zip folder.

Before you start

Please note: Accounts need an active Power User Subscription to use this feature. The Download Archive button is not available without one.

How do I download an archive of my documents?

Follow these steps to request an archive for a date range.

  1. Click Account Settings at the top of your QuickFile account. Then choose Tools > Document Manager.

  2. On the Receipt Hub - Document Manager screen, click Download Archive.

  3. In From and To, enter the first and last dates of the period. Use the format DD/MM/YYYY, for example 01/01/2026.

  4. Click Download. QuickFile shows the total number of files and their total size for that period.

  5. Check the total files and size, then click Confirm to place your request.

Please note: Clicking Confirm places the request, so check the period first. To leave the panel without placing a request, click Cancel.

What types of files are included in the archive?

The archive includes almost everything visible in your Document Management area, such as receipts, letters, bank statements, client documents and any other files you upload to QuickFile.

Important: The archive does not include PDF invoices you have created in QuickFile.

How long will it take after placing the order to receive the archive?

After you click Confirm, QuickFile prepares your archive. How long this takes depends on how many documents are in the period you chose.

You will see this message once you click Download Archive:

QuickFile also e-mails you a link to the archive when it is ready:

Warning: The archive expires after 7 days. Download the zip file and save it to your computer within that time. Otherwise you will need to place a new request.

You can also download the archive from Download Requests in the Document Manager:

Troubleshooting

I can only see the Search button on the Document Manager screen.

The Download Archive button needs a Power User Subscription. Without it, you can still open each document in the Document Manager and save it individually.
